Unlock your AT&T HTC One bootloader using HTC dev site and current method for the international version
If you plan on getting the AT&T HTC One and hoping the bootloader is cracked sooner than later you’re in luck folks. Once again the folks over at XDA come to the rescue.
The HTC dev site is used to unlock your bootloader and to root and install Clockworkmod recovery methods are the same as the international HTC One.
Once you’ve dove in and unlocked that little sucker its going to completely wipe your phone. I personally recommend unlocking your bootloader as soon as you get your phone to avoid losing any kind of setup work you may have put in. Another thing to keep in mind – sound recorder apps, Ringtone trimmer, Flashlight and the Calculator will be deleted. Because of this the device will no longer pass a file integrity check and will no longer receive OTA updates. If you’re unlocking, rooting and installing CWM I’m sure you’re not to concerned with OTA’s anymore. Those crafty devs over at XDA will make sure you get those OTA’s one way or another.
For those of you lucky enough to have the AT&T HTC One and want to get under the hood and do a little playing head on over to XDA.
