Former HTC executives launch Kazam smartphones featuring Stock Android and free cracked screen replacement
Michael Coombes and James Atkins, Former HTC executives based out of UK started Kazam, a new firm in June 2013 and they announced Kazam’s smartphone product portfolio today.
Kazam is offering 7 smartphones based on stock Android ( Android 4.2 JellyBean at the moment ) divided to two two product lines – THUNDER ( mid end ) and TROOPER ( low end ). Kazam is also offering free replacement of cracked screen within one year of the purchase.
KAZAM THUNDER Series
Thunder series offers two mid end smartphones Thunder Q5.0 and Q4.5. There is no word on specs of Thunder Q5.0 but it should have 5” FWVGA display as the names suggests where as Thunder Q4.5 sports 1.3 GHz Quad Core Processor, 4.5” FWVGA (480 x 854) screen, 8 MP rear and 2 MP front camera, 1800mAh battery, 1GB RAM, 4 GB internal storage and micro SD card slot.
KAZAM TROOPER Series
Trooper Series offers below 5 low to mid end smartphones
Trooper Q3.5 , Q4.0, Q4.5, Q5.0, Q5.5.
They are named after the screen size. other specs include Dual Core Processor ( 1GHz n Q3.5 and Q4.0 and 1.2 GHz on others), 512 MB RAM, 4 GB internal storage with microSD card slot, 5 MP rear camera ( 3.2 MP on Q3.5) and VGA front camera and battery capacity ranging from 1300 mAh to 2500 mAh depending on the screen size.
From the product offering it can be inferred that they are concentrating on mid and low level smartphones running stock Android. There is no word yet on pricing or availability yet. Hope Kazam launches these devices globally.
