Verizon say’s all LTE tablets are not created equal. No Nexus 7 LTE activations for Big Red

Oh boy! Verizon’s playing a little hard to get with their customers. Not impossible to get, but hard.

Verizon goes to Twitter telling us NO 2013 Nexus 7 LTE activations for them. Don’t get me wrong.  As far as I know you can still drop an LTE Sim card in there and go on your merry way as long as you’re in an LTE area with the Verizon Sim. These major details should have been ironed out before Google went and told the world the Nexus LTE will work with Verizon, AT&T and T-Mobile. On all three carriers LTE works works on the Nexus 7 LTE. If you are a Big Red customer and go out of LTE coverage you’re SOL. If you’re an AT&T or T-Mobile customer you can fall back on GSM without any problems should you step out of an LTE area.

This is pretty much BS on quite a few levels from both parties. Any of you Verizon customers have an LTE Nexus 7 coming?  If so, I hope you have a spare Sim card or an activation from a prior tablet.

BTW. Does anyone else feel like Verizon was a little condicending or troll’ish in that tweet?
