MWC 2014 – ZTE Grand Memo II LTE Announced

ZTE Grand Memo II

The ZTE Grand Memo II LTE announced today at Mobile World Congress 2014 marks the Chinese manufacturer’s latest entry in the plus-sized phone segment. It features a 6” IPS display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 all packed in a 161.5x83x7.2mm frame which should be a good balance between that massive display and keeping a device this size manageable. On the software side, ZTE is using their MiFavor 2.3 UI running Android 4.4 KitKat.

Powering the Memo II LTE is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 supported by 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage. The massive 3200hAh battery combined with ZTE’s software tweaks is expected to keep it going for up to 16 hours of continuous HD video playback or a few days of normal use. Also on-board is a rear 13MP Sony BSI camera and 5MP front facing camera.

Specifications:

  • OS: Android 4.4 KitKat
  • Size: 161.5x83x7.2mm
  • Display: 6’, HD, TFT, 16M colour, multi touch captive
  • Rear Camera: 13MP, F2.2, Sony BSI, AF with FLASH
  • Front Camera: 5MP F2.2, FF
  • Battery: 3200mAh
  • Processor: Qualcomm Snapdragon 400
  • Memory: 2GB RAM+, 16GB eMMC

This is destined for Asia and European markets so it’s not likely that you be able to get your hands on one here in the U.S. unless you import it. Still, this looks like a great follow-up to last year’s Grand Memo and should do well for ZTE where available.
