HTC One 4.4.2 Update Begins Going Out to European Devices

Here’s some great news for European HTC One owners! HTC has begun rolling out the OTA update for Android 4.4.2 KitKat! You should begin seeing a software update notification as soon as today! The update itself is 308.24MB in size, which is rather light for one of HTC’s usual updates. That being said, you may want to tether yourself to a WiFi hotspot in order to download it.

HTC says the update packs with it a refreshed web browser, but also removes Adobe Flash support. It has improved the Cloud Printing ability and added support for more media functionality via Bluetooth. There are also quite a few security enhancements tagging along for the ride.

If you’re in the states, the US carriers should begin releasing their bloat-filled updates to American HTC Ones very soon. Currently, the carriers are in their testing phase of HTC’s KitKat update.

If you’re in a hurry to get in on the KitKat party right now, head on over to XDA Developers, where Recognized Contributor patensas has captured the OTA for you to sideload right away.
