Motorola Droid Ultra, Maxx, and Mini Finally Getting Announced 4.4 KitKat Update

image

Today, Verizon’s Motorola Droid Ultra, Maxx, and Mini users are finally receiving the Android version 4.4, KitKat update announced mid-December. The update includes some camera tweaks, battery optimization, an updated version of Droid Zap, and a few bug fixes to note the most noticeable changes. Visually it looks pretty darn identical to 4.2 though. The icons in the status bar remained blue and not much looks different upon firing it up after the 4.4 update.

One thing that I did notice after the update was the letter “S” in the 4.4 Easter egg. Tapping 4.4 in the about phone settings on other devices that received the KitKat update get the letter “K”, which makes total sense for KitKat. If anyone has any info on the “S” thing (sucker for waiting?), feel free to let us know in the comments. Also let us know if you find any new additions besides what we’ve mentioned above.
