Android 4.4.2 KitKat System Update is now rolling out to all current Nexus devices. This update includes various bug fixes and improves performance and stability, here is the change-log for this build number KOT49H:
- Fix for clearing the VM Indicator
- Fix for delivery of the VM Indicator
- Various additional software fixes
- Security enhancements
You can download the OTA packages by clicking the links below and side-load ( instructions at the bottom of this post ) them through ADB if you have not get the OTA notification on your device.

Here are quick steps to flash the downloaded OTA update package.
- Download and save to your adb folder
- Turn your device off and reboot into bootloader mode by holding Power and Volume Down
- Select Recovery using Volume Up and press power to confirm
- At the red triangle, press Power and Volume Up and you should see the recovery menu
- Use the volume keys again to scroll through the menu to highlight Apply update from adb and press Power to confirm
- On your computer, open a terminal window and enter the command: adb sideload <downloaded file name.zip>
