Several HTC One Google Play Edition users already received Android 4.4 OTA update yesterday and Samsung Galaxy S4 Google Play edition users should receive this update any-time starting today. This means both these devices started receiving Android 4.4 KitKat within one month of the initial launch ( October 31st ).
Google has posted on Android Google Plus page that starting today Samsung Galaxy S3 and HTC one Google Play edition devices are getting Android 4.4 update.
Both HTC and Samsung has already posted Android 4.4 kernel sources complying with GPL.
