Bummer:-Moto X Bootloader Locked 4

BUMMER! Google’s buyout of Motorola made no change to how Motorola goes about. Moto X bootloader is locked. WTF? Please remove the “A Google Company” tag line Motorla, it doesn’t suit you.

A sim unlocked version is supposedly in the works but would you buy a $600 Moto X. Trust me I won’t.

Is this really a surprise? What devices apart from the dev HTC One comes with it’s bootloader factory unlocked?

  Well the bootloader on HTC One is unlockable for AT&T and T-MO versions using HTC Dev, the s4 on the other hand has a locked bootlader on AT&T and Verizon while the T-Mo one is unlocked. So it’s clear the HTC did not give in to the carriers, Moto could have also done that.

This is a real bummer! Why must Motorola be so insistent on locked bootloaders?
