Today in a press release HTC confirmed that HTC One S will no longer receive any further  Android OS updates. It means HTC One S will stuck with Android 4.1.1/ Sense 4+ . Below is the official statement from HTC

“We can confirm that the HTC One S will not receive further Android OS updates and will remain on the current version of Android and HTC Sense. We realize this news will be met with disappointment by some, but our customers should feel confident that we have designed the HTC One S to be optimized with our amazing camera and audio experiences.”

HTC One S received its last major update in December 2012, comprising Android 4.1.1 and Sense 4+ . This is a bummer considering it’s only launched 16 months back.
