Moonshine S-Off for HTC One, DNA & Evo 4G adds Windows Support

moonshine

The awesome developers at xda brought s-off to HTC Droid DNA & HTC One using a method called Moonshine; initially released for Linux only the hack just added support for Windows as well. This is awesome news as a lot of users were not comfortable with Linux.

Add to that support for Evo 4G for Sprint has also been added.

Below are the things you need to note before trying to s-off on Windows:-

1.) make sure htc sync is uninstalled
2.) make sure adb and fastboot drivers are working
3.) if you are having problems with fastboot, try a usb 2.0 port.
4.) make sure other programs that interfere with and fastboot are uninstalled (PDANet, Kies, etc.)
5.) if you use a third party firewall, be sure to grant access to distiller.exe as it checks for updates
6.) you must unzip the archive before running distiller. do not just try to run it from the archive.

Windows instructions can be found here, and Moonshine download Linux & Windows can be found here.
