Play Ball with AFN!

It’s that ime of year again folks. The snow is melting, the grass is getting greener, flowers are starting to bud and Mariano Rivera is getting ready to climb the mound and smoke 90-95 mph cutters that break bats and scare the hell out of batters. What do I do with my phones and tablets this time of year?  I load them up with my personal favorite MLB and fun baseball apps. Here’s a list of apps and widgets that I use in no particular order for my baseball news and fun. MLB.com At Bat When I’m on the go and can’t get to a TV or the game I’m wanting to watch isn’t being broadcast-ed in my area I grab MLB.com At Bat. I use this app to keep up with stats, standings, highlights and schedules. There is a big gripe with the cost of the premium features. It’s a $20 yearly fee that allows you to have access to more game highlights and other features not available with the free version. Is $20 a little steep for me? Yup! I’ll stick with the free version and use the basic features that it offers. Play Store link for MLB.com At Bat MLB.com At the Ballpark I also like to go to as many Yankee games as I can squeeze in to my busy summer. And I can’t wait to put At The Ballpark to use as I’m pulling in to the Bronx to watch my Bronx Bombers live. It has a slew of helpful information for anyone going to a ball game. It has sections for the schedule, tickets and promotions, Ballpark map and directory, directions and parking, an A to Z guide on your favorite ball park and a bunch of other fun baseball treats for you to browse. Play Store link for At The Ballpark Homerun Battle 2 When I want to get on to the field and open a can of Homerun whoop ass on my friends from Xda and Google+ I download and install Homerun Battle 2. If anyone is looking for someone to play against, hit me up in the comments. Play Store link for Homerun Battle 2 fantasybaseball ESPN Fantasy Baseball fantasybaseball2

And finally for all of you fantasy baseball maniacs here is my personal favorite fantasy baseball app. Until Google comes up with their own fantasy baseball app this is the one I’m using. It’s free and rich with features. Again! If anyone wants there butt kicked in some baseball hit me up in the comments. Play Store link for ESPN Fantasy Baseball There you have it folks! Just a few options to get you on your way for opening day, which is only 2 days away.
